On Friday, August 14, 2015, Adolfo Miranda, 42, was found guilty of nine first degree felonies: six charges for Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child and three charges for Rape of a Child. The prosecution team from the Utah County Attorney's Office conducted the three day trial which was held at the Fourth District Court in Provo, Utah. After an hour of deliberation, the eight-person jury came back with a verdict of guilty on all nine counts.

Beginning in 2010 and ending in 2012, Adolfo Miranda sexually abused and raped the female victim from age nine to twelve. The abuse ended when the victim was present for a school maturation presentation in her sixth grade class. Fearing she might be pregnant, the victim found the courage to refuse Miranda's advances from that day forward. In May of 2014, after a change of situation providing the victim a safe opportunity, the victim disclosed the abuse to her mother, police officers, and the staff at the Utah County Children's Justice Center in Provo. The victim disclosed that the abuse took place at Adolfo Miranda's places of employment which included the Fiesta Fun Center in Orem and the Honk's mini- mall on Freedom Boulevard in Provo. The abuse also occurred at the victim's home.

On Friday, August 14, 2015, upon receiving the guilty verdict for each of the nine charges of sexual abuse and rape of a child, the court ordered that Adolf Miranda be taken into custody forthwith. Law enforcement officers handcuffed and transported Adolfo Miranda to the Utah County Jail to await sentencing which is scheduled for October 19, 2015. Adolfo Miranda faces a minimum sentence of 25 years to life in the Utah State Prison.
