Community Resources

In addition to providing nutritious foods and education, WIC also provides referrals to other agencies. There are many resources in the community to help each family meet its needs. The programs mentioned below are located in Utah County or nearby.

Alcoholics Anonymous, Alanon and Alateen

Helps alcoholics and their families overcome alcoholism.

House of Hope

Residential treatment center for women and their children. Services tailored specifically for women include group, individual and family counseling, substance abuse education, parenting skills, life skills, relapse prevention, stress management, case management and referral.

Support groups and study guide for those struggling with or affected by various addictions such as substance abuse, codependency, gambling and pornography.

Promise for Women and Families

Substance abuse treatment for women and their children. Gender specific counseling services are also provided as an integral part of the program.
