Utah County commissioners honored the Lone Peak High School Boys basketball team by proclaiming Tuesday, March 12, 2012 as Lone Peak High School Knights Dynasty Day.

Provo –Honored by the governor, the Utah State Senate and House of Representatives and named “Crush of the Week” by Seventeen magazine, the Lone Peak boys basketball team finally made its way home just in time to receive additional accolades from county leaders.

Utah County commissioners honored the Lone Peak High School Boys basketball team by proclaiming Tuesday, March 12, 2012 as Lone Peak High School Knights Dynasty Day.

Commissioner Gary Anderson in making the presentation honored the team for their three consecutive 5A Boys state basketball championships as well as their Number 1 national ranking. But aside from their incredible basketball skills he expressed appreciation on behalf of the county for being “amazing representatives of Utah County.”

Lone Peak coach Quincy Lewis responded by saying, “this is not only a great group of basketball players they are even better men. The grade point average for our team is 3.8. It is a tribute to their parents and to the community that we have such a fine group of young men to represent our school, our city and our county.”
