The Utah County Metro SWAT Team will conduct its annual "Hell Week" SWAT training course. Participants include in state, out of state, and even out of country law enforcement officers.
The Utah County Metro SWAT Team will begin its 16th annual "Hell Week" training on Friday, April 26, 2013, through Tuesday, April 30, 2013. The SWAT training will challenge Officers both physically and mentally in order to prepare them for a variety of situations they encounter on a daily basis and specifically in tactical environments. Most of the participants are SWAT members on their respective agencies SWAT Team or will be once they have completed this course. This training will provide participants a variety of training related to high risk warrant service, active gunman, hostage rescue, firearms training, building and area searches, explosives, etc. It is a high paced training that builds on tactical principles along with testing the participants in real life scenarios.
Participants in this years course are from several of our local communities in Utah County along with participants from other areas in Utah, Arizona and Colorado. Two participants from Canada will also be attending the training. This course will provide participants skills they will use during SWAT situations and the rest of their careers in keeping themselves and our communities safe during the unfortunate tragedies that occur in our society.
