A 28 year old Springville man is being investigated for DUI after he crashed a Banshee ATV with a 10 year old and 4 year old passengers. This occurred at Sandy Beach near the south end of Utah Lake.
On July 21, 2013, at about 5:05 P.M., deputies with the Utah County Sheriff's office were dispatched to a report of an ATV crash at Sandy Beach. This area is located at the southeast part of Utah Lake. The driver, Nathan A. Devenish, age 28, of Springville, was carrying a 4 year old boy seated in front of him and his 10 year old daughter seated behind him when he crashed into a parked vehicle in the area. The 4 year old suffered only minor abrasions. Devenish's daughter suffered head and back injuries. Devenish is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. His daughter and the boy were taken by ambulance to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.
