Two simultaneous sessions, one starting September 4th and the other September 10th

Would you like to better manage your chronic condition, decrease your pain, decrease you doctors' visits, and enjoy life more? The Utah County Health Department, Utah Arthritis Program, and Mountainlands Association is promoting "Living Well with Chronic Conditions," a six class self-management series. Class are tailored for individuals living with a chronic condition or for those who live with someone with a chronic condition, such as asthma, arthritis, fibromyalgia, cancer, heart disease, emphysema, depression or chronic pain. Subjects covered will include: techniques to combat frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation; appropriate exercise to maintain and improve strength; appropriate use of medications and proper nutrition; techniques to effectively communicate with family, friends, and health professional and guidelines to evaluate new treatments.

Two classes will start soon. The first will be on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. starting September 4th going through October 9th at the Utah County Health Department American Fork Office (599 South 500 East). The second will be on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. at the Utah County Health and Justice Building (151 S. University Ave, Provo) starting September 10th and going through October 15th.
