Thursday, September 19th at 7pm at Santaquin LDS Stake Center
Did you know that over 90 percent of car seats are installed incorrectly in Utah County? The Utah County Health Department (UCHD) offers free car seat installation classes for parents (as well as grandparents, day-care providers,
care-givers, etc) on the proper use and installation of infant and child car seats. Booster seats and child seat belt use are also discussed. The class is free and no registration is required, but prompt attendance is enforced.
The next class will be held on September 19th at 7 p.m. at the Santaquin LDS Stake Center (545 North 200 East). For a list of other upcoming classes, see www.utahcountyhealth.org/calendar. Questions can be directed to 801-851-7035.
And if you have installed your seat, but are concerned and want it checked by Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians, a free car seat check point will be held at on Saturday, September 21st from 10 a.m. to noon at the Santaquin Fire Station (275 W. Main Street). A free child's booster seat will be given to the first 18 families that call 801-851-7035 to schedule an appointment. Your child must be 4 yrs old and 40 pounds to qualify.
