In case of suspected poisoning, call 800- 222-1222

The Utah County Health Department and Utah Poison Control Center want to remind home owners to safely store yard chemicals away from children. Even if you don't have children yourself, visiting or neighborhood children finding colorful liquids or bright powders can confuse these for fruity drinks or "sugar dip" type candies. Play it safe -- lock up yard chemicals such as insecticides, fertilizers, pool chemicals, etc. in a secure location. And avoid mixing chemicals in easily confused containers such as old milk or juice bottles. If you do suspect a potential poisoning, call 800-222-1222 to speak with specialy trained medical personel. All calls are free and confidential. See www.UtahPoisonControl.org for tips and educational materials.
