A 4 month old Eagle Mountain boy was pronounced dead after being found unresponsive and not breathing at his home. Family members found him and efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
On June 15, 2015, shortly after 8:30 AM, Deputies with the Utah County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a report of 4 month old boy found unresponsive and not breathing at home. The baby was found by a family member and they called 911 and initiated CPR. Deputies and medical personnel with Unified Fire Authority continued CPR while a LifeFlight helicopter responded. After LifeFlight landed it was determined the baby was deceased and resuscitation efforts were stopped. The baby, Kamanatoa Toilolo, age 4 months, was hosptitalized two times in the first month after being born for respiratory related symptoms. Family told investigators the baby had been in good health since that time. This investigation will remain active and the baby has been taken to the Office of Medical Examiner in Salt Lake.
