On July 27, 2015, at about 2:40 PM, Deputies with the Utah County Sheriff's Officer were dispatched to a report of an ATV crash in the Dutchman Flat area of American Fork Canyon. This is located in a remote area above Tibble Fork Reservoir. The woman was riding with several other people when she lost control, went off the road, and ran into a tree. She sustained a serious laceration to one of her legs. Volunteers with Utah Counthy Sheriff's Officer Search and Rescue (SAR) responded as well. LifeFlight was called and the woman, age 49, from Mesa Arizona, was found. She was stabilized and medical personnel determined her injury was not life threatening. Because of the rugged nature of the road, LifeFlight lifted the woman to the parking lot near Tibble Fork Reservoir. From there she was taken to an area hospital by Lone Peak ambulance.
