Utah County Commissioners will present a State of the County update on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Utah Valley Convention Center, 220 West Center Street, Provo, Utah.
The presentation will include a brief review of the progress made in the past year as well as a detailed look at the opportunities for the county’s growth in 2016. Annual awards will also be given to the Utah County Business of the Year.
Speaking of the past year and the opportunities in the future Commission Chairman Larry Ellertson said, “We’re appreciative of what was accomplished this past year by our incredible employees and our Utah County citizens. We are even more excited as we view the upcoming year. All of our Utah County departments have extensive and ambitious goals for 2016 to serve the approximately 590,000 people who call the county home.”
There are nine elected officials in Utah County and according to Ellertson this will be a great opportunity to see them in one place, have a chance to meet them and understand exactly what their responsibilities are.
The public is invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
