The Medical Examiner found that the South Carolina woman who was injured while riding the zip line at Sundance Mountain Resort died of blunt force trauma. The investigation remains active.
The Utah Medical Examiner has determined that Lisa Lambe, a 55 year old woman from South Carolina, died of blunt force trauma due to injuries she sustained while riding the zip line at Sundance Mountain Resort. She was pronounced dead at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo on Friday, May 20. Lambe was riding a separate zip line with her husband and did not reach the bottom with him. She was found by zip line operators and brought to the end of the ride where North Fork Fire Department Paramedics treated her and transported her to the hospital.
Detectives with the Utah County Sheriff's Office returned to Sundance on May 23 to continue their investigation. At this point they are uncertain exactly what caused the injuries to Lambe, but that information will be released as it becomes available.
