Beginning September 4 the Utah County Sheriff's Office will conduct another Teachers Academy over six class sessions. Slots in the class are limited and are filling fast!

Earlier this summer the Utah County Sheriff's Office (UCSO) conducted a Teachers Academy. This academy was taught by law enforcement, self-defense, and medical professionals and was sponsored by the Utah County Sheriff's Honorary Colonels.
The UCSO will again conduct a Teachers Academy sponsored by the Honorary Colonels beginning September 4, 2019. Academy attendees meet Wednesday evening each week for 5 weeks, with a sixth class the last week in the morning on Saturday. The course is designed for school teachers and school administration staff.
This Academy is a 20 hour course designed to cover critical skills needed in an active shooter event. You will be briefed on lessons learned from active shooter incidents in the United States and around the world. Law enforcement, self-defense, and medical professionals will teach skills that are designed to save lives.
Topics covered include:
-Tactical Emergency Medical Techniques
-Utah Concealed Carry Certification
-VirTra Simulator Training
-Live Fire Range Day (Shooting skills & qualification course)
