Each County Commissioner will speak regarding the status of the county. The county will award one citizen with the “Commissioners’ Medal of Honor” for services done in the community and announce the Utah County Business of the year.
The Utah County Commissioners will present the annual State of the County Address at the Historic Courthouse on June 8, 2009, announcing past achievements and current plans for the county.
“We live in a dynamic county where much is happening right now and we’re interested in sharing our accomplishments and goals,” says Commission Chair, Larry Ellertson. “We’re interested in working with the communities throughout Utah County in making this a wonderful place to work, live, and raise a family.”
The State of the County Address provides citizens the opportunity to learn more about the function of county government, what has been done to enhance communities, and plans for improvement.
The event begins at 9:30 A.M. on June 8, 2009, at the Utah County Historic Courthouse in the south ballroom on the 3rd floor, located at 51 South University Avenue in Provo.
