(November 19, 2009, 2 pm) - - The next Utah County Health Department H1N1 vaccine ticket distribution will take place on Monday, November 23rd. Due to the thanks giving holidays, vaccine will only be distributed next week on Tuesday, November 24th. H1N1 tickets will be distributed starting at 8 am at the Utah County Health and Justice Building in Provo (151 S. University Ave).
The UCHD will continue to use the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) priority groups, including:
- Pregnant women
- People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
- Health care or emergency medical personnel with patient contact
- Children age 6 months to young adults 24 years of age
- Persons 64 years of age and under with chronic medical conditions associated with higher risk of medical problems from influenza
Vaccinations will continue to be given only at the Health and Justice Building in Provo. Everyone seeking vaccination needs to have a ticket, and needs to report at the time and day indicated. Adults can get up to six tickets for immediate family members.
