American Fork - Southbound I-15 will close near the American Fork Main Street interchange from Saturday, March 20, at 11 p.m. until Sunday, March 21, at 7 a.m. for lane reconfiguration and restriping.
Southbound traffic will be diverted through the on- and off-ramps at the interchange during construction. As a result, the Main Street bridge over I-15 will also be closed beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday. Main Street will re-open when southbound I-15 is re-opened Sunday morning.
Motorists are advised to use the exits at Lehi Main Street or American Fork 500 East in order to access the area from I-15 during the closure. Flaggers will be posted at Main Street to guide motorists through the construction area.
This work is being done as part of UDOTís Pioneer Crossing project, which is creating a new east/west corridor from Redwood Road in Saratoga Springs to the I-15 interchange at American Fork Main Street. The east/west portion of the project is scheduled to open in July; the new Diverging Diamond Interchange at American Fork Main Street should open in September.
