OUTRAGE to present "Memorial Wall"
In honor of Kick Butts Day, OUTRAGE (Utah County's anti-tobacco youth group) along with other teen groups throughout the county are assembling a "Memorial Wall" and service to honor those who have passed away from a tobacco related disease.
Individuals who have lost a loved one to a tobacco-related disease are invited to submit their loved one's name, picture, birth/death date and a short description about the individual (like a mini obituary). Submissions can be sent to Sarah Simons, OUTRAGE coordinator, at the Utah County Health Department (151 S. University Ave, Suite 2700, Provo) or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All submissions will then be posted and displayed at a special service to be held on March 26th from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Historic Utah County Courthouse Rotunda (51 S. University Ave, Provo). The public is invited to attend the service with the teen groups and other local dignitaries on Monday. The Memorial Wall will also be on display the following week at the Utah County Health and Justice Building.
OUTRAGE is an anti-tobacco youth group sponsored by the Utah County Health Department (UCHD). If you are interested in OUTRAGE's activities or would like to participate, contact Sarah Simons (as listed above).
