On Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at approximately 1:22 P.M. the Utah County Sheriff's Office, Lehi Ambulance and Saratoga Springs Spring First Responder Ambulance personnel responded to a call in Saratoga Springs. A Belly Dump was in the area of Loch Lomond moving dirt for contruction that was taking place. The Belly Dump was pulling a pup and was in the process of dropping dirt on a slope. The slope was soft and the pup started to slide hitting a gradder that was next to it. Darrell Cole from South Jordan dove under the Grader as the heavy equipment was slidding in his direction. Darrell dove under the grader and as the pup hit the grader it ran over him. Darrell was transported to the American Fork Hospital and with a possible broken pelvis and legs. Sgt.
