Dispatch receives call of a man being shot

Utah County Dispatch receives a call regarding a man being shot. Investigation reveals that the victim was hit in the head with a rock.

On Monday, April 28, 2003 at approximately 01:08 A.M. Utah County Dispatch received a 911 call regarding a man that was shot in Payson, Utah.

The Utah County Metro SWAT Team was called out to a residence near Payson Junior High School. A perimiter was set up in a neighborhood just south of the School. Officers received information that a person had been shot. The victim was taken to Mountain View Hospital.

Investigators from the Payson Police Department leaned a short time later that the victim had in fact been hit with a rock. The victim received injuries to the back of the head. The Detective Division is currently interviewing witnesses to determine the exact nature of the incident. The address of the occurance was 1136 South SR198, Payson, Utah.
