Joint Team Training Exercise UPDATE

Details of the Utah County Joint Team Training Exercise scheduled for April 17, 2010 at 8:00 am.

LOCATION of Exercise Staging / Command Post at Diamond Fork day use area. (Monks Hollow) Airplane Crash Site - Long Hollow, Spanish Fork Canyon Second Accident site (SAR involved w/injuries) Red Hollow, Diamond Fork.

SCENARIO Exercise At 7:50 am, Flight Control Tower in Salt Lake City reports that a plane flying over Spanish Fork Canyon had picked up a faint Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) signal. 8:00 am, a family in Logan, Ut reports that family members flying a small single engine plane never arrived, the plane left form Page, Az. Family will provide the following information: Departed Page, Az on 04-16-10 at 7:00 pm. Due to arrive in Logan, Ut on 4-16-10 at 10:00 pm. On board Pilot and four to five passengers.

During the search for the plane crash SAR members will be involved in an ATV accident resulting in two to three members injured. (This will occur in Red Hollow). Some teams will need to redirect to provide care to their own team members.

TIME LINE 8:00 am, involved members will be paged out and given initial information over radio. 1:00 pm, Scenario completed and all teams back to command post for Debrief.
